Lee-Anne Marie Kling has enjoyed painting landscapes since childhood when she painted a volcano in acrylics and was hooked. At 17, during her gap-year, she went to art classes. Arthur Phillips was her teacher. While at university, a hobby in photography became her focus. She moved to Melbourne for work as a teacher and got married. While in Melbourne, she took up her paint brushes and had lessons with Melbourne artist, Geoff Rogers. Raising a family and life then got in the way of art and for 19 years the paints, brushes and canvas remained packed away in an old suitcase under the bed, even after moving back to Adelaide in 1998.
Around 2009, she sensed God calling her back to art. Her two sons encouraged her too. After painting several months with a friend from her church, she was invited to join Marion Art Group.
Lee-Anne is also a writer and has self-published on Amazon two Science Fiction books for Young Adults. She is also the editor for the Marion Art Group iMAGine Newsletter. She believes her art is a gift from God for her to enjoy and to bring joy to others who connect with her work.
Her other interests are photography, family history, reading and travel.
